Our mission is to supply Australian workers at work and at leisure with product of superior quality and design. We use a newly developed Total Quality Management System (QMS) that encompasses all levels of quality control. We are driven by the need to supply quality products to our customers on a continual basis. We have invested almost quarter of a million of dollars into hardware, software and personnel development that now ensures the continual quality of our products.

D'Arassus Quality Management System (QMS) is an unique utility of software that helps EYRES coordinate testing and eliminate human error from the necessary calculations and test result evaluations. The QMS is able to swiftly and accurately capture the optical, transmittance and impact velocity properties of tested eyewear by utilising direct connection to a Lensmeter, Spectrophotometer and High Velocity testers. QMS then determines a pass or a fail automatically without the influence of the operator and submits the statistical results in the form of controlled archived documents into a Document Management System DMS.
Document Management System (DMS) is a tool that allows us superior document control. DMS also ensures that all documents are securely stored for a period of 10 years, safe from any tampering and accessible only by authorised personnel and by a Standards Australia Accredited Auditor.
The EYRES in-house testing facility has highly accurate and calibrated equipment used for continual batch testing as well as new design development. The testing equipment includes a High Velocity Ballistic Tester, two TL3000A Auto Lensmeters, Cary50 Uv-Vis Spectrophotometer, Drop ball/Penetration Tester and AXYOS high precision oven.
We test our new models extensively before putting them into production in order to identify any deviations that might arise during batch production. This, in conjunction with the day-to-day batch testing providing EYRES with superior product quality control.

The HVI Tester is capable of propelling a steel ball with a diameter of 6.35mm to speeds of up to 190 m/s (684 km/h). 1% of the production is tested for medium or low impact on this instrument.
